About Peter
Peter Kokis is an experienced instructor. As Director of Security for a large luxury hotel in Manhattan, Peter routinely trains hotel management and staff in subjects including general safety & security, fire safety, policy, management techniques, risk, and legal matters. Peter is also certified by the American Red Cross as an Instructor in CPR, AEDs, and First Aid. Peter started teaching many years ago, as a helicopter flight instructor.
For the TIPS program, Peter brings with him to each class a wealth of knowledge about human behavior, compliance techniques, controlling one's environment, and various laws; framing all in the practical, real-world setting of a business that wishes to thrive by giving its patrons a safe, enjoyable experience (that is the point, after all: keep your patrons safe and happy, coming back, and tipping well!)
